Shami bowled a slower ball from around the wicket and angled it toward Taskin’s pads, but his efforts failed as it hit him square on and carried to leg gully. Taskin attempted to dive low for it but got hit on top edge which headed directly toward leg gully instead.

In this article, we will discuss the main points or high lights of Bangladesh National Cricket Team vs India National Cricket Team Match Scorecard.

India vs Bangladesh

India will host Bangladesh in a two-match Test and three-match T20I series that starts Thursday this week, looking to build on Rohit Sharma’s T20 World Cup victory while Bangladesh seeks to capitalise on their historic Test series victory over Pakistan and climb higher up the ICC Test rankings.

India is unquestionably the superior team against Bangladesh in One Day Internationals (ODIs). They have met 41 times so far, with India winning 32 out of them; their only Champions Trophy encounter came during 2017 semi-final and India prevailed by an overwhelming margin.

Bangladesh have not fared too well recently in white-ball cricket; nonetheless they remain dangerous under Najmul Hossain Shanto. They have proven their worth as a strong batting unit in subcontinental conditions and pose a real threat when the ball spins or slows down. When facing India they’ll aim to replicate their performance from Sri Lanka and cause havoc for hosts India.

Bangladesh cricket team has a rich tradition of competing in multilateral international tournaments since their first appearance at an ICC Trophy tournament in 1997. Later, in 1999 they qualified as one of ten Test-playing nations for their inaugural World Cup tournament and although their performance may have varied at different World Cup tournaments they have still made numerous finals of Asia Cup tournaments.

South Asia-based team Bengal Tigers enjoys widespread support across South Asia and are among the most-followed teams on social media. Additionally, several prominent players within their ranks draw large crowds when playing at stadiums they visit.

Cricket first began under British control before rapidly growing popular once independence was gained. Following its growth, Bangladesh’s national cricket team was established in 1971 – it currently belongs to both the International Cricket Council (ICC) and Asian Cricket Federation (ACC).

Bangladesh has competed in many major international tournaments, such as the ICC World Cup, Champions Trophy and Twenty20 Cup. Although their record hasn’t always been impressive in these events, Bangladesh have shown promising signs of improvement and could become a forceful contender in future tournaments.

India Vs Bangladesh 2024 Preview: Can Bangladesh Upset India at Home? When India face Bangladesh for their opening Test at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Thursday, they’ll hope for an early victory on a greenish-yellow pitch which may not produce as much dew – thus leading many batsmen to opt to bowl more often rather than bat.

Indian captain Virat Kohli must ensure his batsmen are at peak form if he hopes for success against Bangladesh’s visiting team. AB de Villiers and Hardik Pandya will provide ample power in India’s batsman ranks; therefore they need to do their part by maintaining disciplined innings against Bangladeshi bowling attacks.
