IND vs AFG

India will aim to make it two wins out of two in this World Cup when they face Afghanistan at Kensington Oval in Barbados. Rohit Sharma’s men have shown some impressive form so far, and a victory will send them into the semi-finals where they could meet either Sri Lanka or Pakistan in semi-final match-ups.

Indian batsmen appear in good form and should have no difficulty reaching the target easily; however, much will depend on Afghan bowling efforts and whether or not they can keep India batsmen away.

Afghanistan have shown some remarkable form recently and can produce upsets against even top teams like New Zealand in T20I cricket. Their win over them in one match demonstrates they can compete with and beat even some of the more established sides in the tournament.

Rahul Dravid admitted it was hard for him to select only four players for India’s game against Afghanistan. Kuldeep Yadav has been one of India’s key players this tournament and Dravid justified his decision by saying it would have been difficult picking just four players from among so many great candidates.

Naveen-ul-Haq caught Azmatullah at deep midoff and made an easy catch as he attempted to drive through covers; unfortunately it went wide of his fielder and was easily caught.

Hardik Pandya scores his first boundary off Qais Ahmad’s first delivery in this over. Swinging at a short ball outside off stump, and getting an inside edge toward short third man. This resulted in four runs being scored while the keeper failed to stop it.

Nehal Badoni hits an important shot when he hits a single off the next ball before striking a six. Badoni had been struggling for form but finally managed to find some intent with his bat and it paid dividends handsomely.

India A Team players: Abhishek Sharma, Prabhsimran Singh (wk), Ramandeep Singh and Tilak Varma(c). Anshul Kamboj and Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore. Anshul Kamboj and Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore provide additional players as Anshul Kamboj can deliver all Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore services. Additional personnel includes Ayush Badoni who makes appearances alongside Hrithik Shokeen in Nehal Wadhera but Ayush Badoni is still involved such as Hrithik Shokeen while Nehal Wadhera Nehal Wadhera also serves Anshul Shah Amardeep Kartik Vaibhav Arora Ravindra Jadeja and Sanju Samson who plays as wicketkeeper.

Bridgetown will likely present spinners with an ideal surface to spin the ball around on. Both teams boasting strong records on this ground should ensure an interesting contest.

As expected, both teams are set for an intense encounter as they vie for a spot in the semifinals. Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan A by three wickets earlier today to top Group B. Afghanistan also finished top of their pool with five wins out of six matches and are also hoping for a semifinal place.
