Australia vs India 2nd ODI 2025 Live Cricket Score:
Matthew Short and Cooper Connolly scored half centuries as India lost to Australia by two wickets at Adelaide to seal Shubman Gill’s side’s 1-0 series loss. Earlier, Rohit Sharma (73(97)) and Shreyas Iyer (61/77) helped India post 264.9 from 50 overs.
Alyssa Healy has reached her maiden One Day International century as she spearheads Australia’s chase for victory. Starting off the over with an offcut single off Kranti Amanjot’s long ball and later hitting two fours off him herself, Healy displayed incredible skill with her pulling and cutting movements, playing beautifully timed innings after innings.
She then hit a full toss for six over midwicket for her fifth boundary of the match before progressing towards reaching her century with a wristy step-hit over deep midwicket to achieve it in style – becoming Alyssa Healy, the first woman captain ever to score an ODI century!
Healy reached three figures off Xavier Bartlett’s over. She struck an overpitched delivery straight towards mid-on for four, inching closer towards her 50. Off another delivery, Healy hit it straight towards mid-on for four to make up the boundary count and eventually moved past it for her half century. Off Xavier Bartlett she added another four through hitting an overpitched delivery towards mid-on for yet another boundary!
India are desperate for an edge as Healy and company continue to control the ball and prevent India from scoring runs.
Nitish Kumar Reddy and Arshdeep Singh displayed some outstanding fielding as Healy played a pull shot off her leg side which appeared destined for a boundary, only for it to hit her palm instead and come to rest.
But Reddy and Singh did not give up as they successfully trap Mitchell Owen lbw with an excellent one-handed dive. Now India require just 49 overs to score 240 runs to attempt an unlikely comeback.
