SRH: Pat Cummins (c), Ishan Kishan (wk), Abhishek Sharma

Pat Cummins is one of the world’s premier fast bowlers, boasting an extraordinary record in international cricket with more than 500 wickets to his name – playing an instrumental role for Australia across T20Is, ODIs and Test matches alike.

Furthermore, this Australian star has successfully transitioned into leadership roles such as captaining their national side during ODIs and T20s; thus becoming a great asset to SunRisers Hyderabad through their fiery bowling attack.

After an unconvincing start to their season, Sunrisers Hyderabad are finally showing signs of improvement. Ishan Kishan has established himself at the top of their order while Suryakumar Yadav has returned in fine nick;

Abhishek Sharma and Kamindu Mendis have also shown great bowling form; all these indicators point towards strong performances ahead of T20 World Cup 2019.

Hyderabad-based franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad have enjoyed success against Delhi Capitals at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, winning six out of their seven matches against them since competition’s launch.

Since that point, SRH have relied heavily on an international-class bowling unit comprising Dale Steyn, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Rashid Khan – their motto being defend any total. Their dominance over DC in knockout fixtures only underscored this point.

However, Delhi have shown significant progress over recent seasons. Their top players have displayed great poise when faced with high-stress situations and boast an effective bowling unit; making them one of the leading contenders for playoff spots in this tournament.

SRH are in with a good chance of qualifying for the quarter-finals with a victory against Delhi Capitals on Tuesday. While their visitors sit eighth with 11 points from 12 games, while they hold sixth with seven from 10.

Last time these teams faced each other at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Sunrisers Hyderabad prevailed by three wickets in an intense contest.

Though in early stages they appeared vulnerable, Rishabh Pant’s unbeaten innings allowed them to overcome early troubles before powering through to victory. This match showcased DC’s growing self-perception while SRH’s inability to deal with pressure under high-stress situations;

Tuesday will bring another tantalising contest between two of the most loved sides in competition and its winner will move closer towards semi final spots while loser will find themselves further exposed in troublesome waters.

DC: Axar Patel (c), Jake Fraser-McGurk, Abishek Porel (wk), KL Rahul

This match marks both sides’ second outing of the season and they hope to build upon their solid starts to the year, while Delhi Capitals look to rebound after losses against Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals exposed major gaps in their defenses.

Last time these teams met, the visitors produced one of the greatest chases ever witnessed in Twenty20 history by chasing down 287 to win.

That match went down as one of the most notable matches ever witnessed by this tournament; every encounter between these sides promises an exhilarating battle! Both are sure to provide another thrilling contest this time round as well.

After an initially slow start to their season, SRH have seen their batsmen really step it up this time around. Vijay Shankar and Abishek Porel have established partnerships which have enabled more runs to be scored; their bowlers too have shown improvement with Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Rashid Khan performing exceptionally for their team.

However, despite SRH’s impressive start to the season, Delhi remain unbeaten at home and have yet to lose a match at Arun Jaitley Stadium this term. They have excelled particularly well during powerplay sessions this term by scoring more runs than any other side.

Jake Fraser-McGurk had an indifferent start to the season and was dismissed for two-ball duck against LSG; however, his form has gradually improved since being supported by DC’s backroom staff ahead of their auction retention decision. Now looking to build partnerships with Rahul and Sameer Rizvi.

KL Rahul of India has been another stand-out performer for the Capitals this season. The opener scored 251 runs for DC with six fours and three sixes in his innings – and will play a pivotal role again when DC take on Sunrisers Hyderabad later.

With Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Tristan Stubbs and Abishek Porel all contributing, the Capitals hope to keep their momentum alive at home. However, England batsman Harry Brook has unfortunately been forced out due to an injured leg.

Karun Nair or Abishek Porel could replace Faf du Plessis as opening batsmen if he is unavailable, while Donovan Ferreira could join as an extra batsman in case an additional batsman is required in their team.

SRH: Pat Cummins (wk), Ishan Kishan (wk), Abhishek Sharma

Following an underwhelming start to their season, Sunrisers Hyderabad staged an impressive comeback over its final four matches of the competition.

They beat Rajasthan Royals and CSK before their match against Delhi Capitals was washed out due to rain at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium; finishing 6th overall.

SRH first debuted in the 2013 Indian Premier League as Deccan Chargers before they were purchased by Sun TV Network and changed to their current name (SRH) later on in 2023. They made the playoffs during their inaugural season under Kumar Sangakkara and Cameron White as captains.

The Hyderabad Cricket Association owns and manages the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Uppal in Hyderabad with a capacity of 30,000 seats, which serves as their home ground.

Since their debut, SRH have been an aggressive side in the IPL. Their home games have produced some memorable runs while they maintain a stellar record against all opposing teams at their venue.

Owatu also boasts an excellent track record away from home: during their IPL history, they have played 24 away matches and won 13 outright; 13 have ended either with no result or in defeat.

SRH have added players such as Pat Cummins, Ishan Kishan, and Abhishek Sharma to their squad this year. In addition, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Vijay Shankar, Kartik Tyagi, Travis Head were retained – with 15 retained and 7 released ahead of the auction, where Mitchell Marsh Priyam Garg Brad Haddin were added for auctioning purposes.

The IPL history of SRH-RCB rivalry has been fierce. Both teams have often clashed and both had their campaigns hindered by each other at different points in time – with RCB winning eight out of 11 encounters while only 3 for SRH. Now both will meet again when IPL Qualifiers 2 commence in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday at Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium.
