RCB vs LSG

RCB secured their top-two finish in the points table with an emphatic victory against LSG on Monday, thanks to Jitesh Sharma’s Player of the Match performance – smashing 85*(33) off 33 balls to power his side to 228/6 from 18.4 overs and extend their winning streak to six matches. They will now face Punjab Kings in Qualifier 1 on Thursday.

On Tuesday at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow, LSG will attempt to cap their season off in style when they take on RCB.

Although out of playoff contention already, LSG hope a victory can help ensure their season comes to a successful conclusion while improving their record against them.

Though their bowling unit may have struggled, this team’s batting prowess has been its strength this season.

At home games they average over 200 runs per game and have amassed 400+ runs three times! Unfortunately away games have proven more difficult for them and must change in this game to secure their place in the playoffs.

The match will take place on a pitch made up of red and black soil that should provide batsmen-friendly conditions. Lucknow’s humid conditions may further heighten these characteristics of play.

On the batting side, both teams appear evenly-matched and possess several quality players; therefore, this match could see plenty of runs scored in an exciting encounter.

RCB have won three out of their five matches against LSG and will look to continue that trend here. A defeat would leave them third on the points table and make qualifying for the final much more challenging.

RCB are expected to make changes, with Josh Hazlewood set to replace Lungi Ngidi who has returned home for WTC final preparations with Zimbabwe national side. Meanwhile, their bowlers will look to replicate their performance from Monday when they held host India to just 166/6 runs.

LSG vs RCB Predictions

The game between RCB and LSG will be of vital significance for both sides. RCB sit third with 17 points and need a victory here to remain within striking distance of finishing in the top two finish.

For LSG, however, finishing fifth outright and missing play-off contention means this victory would help close their season out on an upbeat note.

Last time out, the visitors showed renewed strength against Gujarat Titans as they achieved a 33-run win. Their opening batting combination of Mitchell Marsh and Aiden Markram were outstanding while Nicholas Pooran kept up their momentum throughout.

Ayush Badoni and Abdul Samad also provided invaluable contributions while William O’Rourke had an excellent debut performance against GT in their bowling department.

LSG have their own injury concerns to contend with before this game. Batsman Matthew Breetzke hasn’t featured yet this season and could be rested to allow LSG to assess their bench strength further.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Aryan Juyal, allrounder Rajvardhan Hangargekar and specialist Yuvraj Chaudhary could all feature prominently.

At Ekana Stadium, a mixed-soil surface can be expected. Red soil tends to provide ideal batting conditions while black soil patches provide spinners with additional grip and turn.

Lucknow’s weather forecast predicts partly cloudy skies with temperatures between 35degC and 36degC throughout the game and 58% humidity; rain should not interfere with gameplay.

LSG vs RCB Live Streaming

LSG needs a victory at Ekana Stadium on Tuesday (May 27th) to seal both their place in the top two finish and gain home advantage in Qualifier 1. Meanwhile, RCB needs to beat Gujarat Titans (GT) on May 27th (Tuesday). Here’s how you can watch live.

LSG opener Nicholas Pooran continued his superb form even without captain Aiden Markram due to international commitments, scoring seven boundaries in just two overs off Ekana track despite not having Aiden Markram there as captain – even without Aiden Markram it proved a formidable challenge for RCB who were struggling on an Ekana wicket chasing 228 runs when Virat Kohli hit long off in just the second over. Jitesh Sharma then played a superb innings from thereon!

He made history, hitting eight fours and one six while reaching his maiden IPL century in just 62 balls. Together with Mayank Agarwal at No. 3, they shared a 107-run partnership which helped RCB complete their target with one over remaining; making this runchase the highest partnership between No. 5 and lower in IPL history.

With their victory, Royal Challengers Bengaluru became the first team in league phase history to reach 200 points and increase their chances of qualifying for playoffs. On Thursday they will face Punjab Kings at Chandigarh’s New PCA Stadium for Qualifier 1.

Jitesh Sharma won the toss and elected to bowl first in this key match-up between RCB and LSG. They hoped to establish an early lead and put pressure back onto LSG.

But Kohli was run-out soon after Nuwan Thushara took a wicket, leading Rishabh Pant at No.3 into an incredible onslaught that saw his side pass 200 and take an unassailable lead; until eventually Rishabh Pant was eventually dismissed with his phenomenal knock of 118 off only 54 balls; taking his side past 200 and into an unassale position; third highest 5 wicket stand in IPL history 152 run stand!

At Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Bhopal, an incredible match saw Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) triumph by six wickets to secure top two finish.

Next Thursday they will face Punjab Kings in Qualifier 1 matchup. Phil Salt and Virat Kohli made early inroads into New Zealand fast bowler Will O’Rourke’s bowling, building an early partnership of 61 runs before Phil fell prey to New Zealand fast bowler Will O’Rourke in eighth over before returning together again with Rishabh Pant to share an unbroken 152 run stand alongside Rishabh Pant.

Pant’s outstanding IPL debut included three sixes and a four, helping him reach his first century in just 54 balls in only his seventh appearance for Mumbai Indians – his sixth as captain – taking just 54 deliveries!

In doing so he shared two 152-run stands with Mitchell Marsh from Australia (dismissed for an excellent 67 run knock off 37 balls by Bhuvneshwar Kumar).

RCB were in trouble after Kohli was caught at long-off by Digvesh Mitra with six wickets remaining and they needed 105 off 52 overs to win with six wickets remaining, but Jitesh Sharma produced an exceptional innings, batted through to the end and smashing 85* off 33 balls to lead them to a memorable win.

RCB have now set an unprecedented record in IPL history in chases this season, winning all seven chases they attempted with success and exceeding AB de Villiers and Yuvraj Singh’s record of four they set back in 2014. Mayank Agarwal also contributed well, scoring 41* before their fifth-wicket partnership of 107 runs was the highest seen by any five or lower in an IPL match this season.
