India vs New Zealand

India came back from an uneven start to beat New Zealand by four wickets in the final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 and claim their third title of this tournament. Rohit Sharma scored fifty and was well supported by KL Rahul who was unbeaten on 34 as India easily chased down their target of 252. They also enjoyed great help from their spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Mohammad Amir who led an effective bowling attack that helped chase it down easily.

New Zealand was one of the first Oceanian countries to play test cricket and has since established itself as one of the best one-day sides in the world. Their fully professional system enabled them to build successful teams under Stephen Fleming and Brendon McCullum; McCullum brought his fearless captaincy style, widely acknowledged as one of the greatest batsmen of his generation.

The Black Caps proved their strength once again in the Champions Trophy final, even if their opening innings was a bit nervy; however, thanks to Daryl Mitchell and Kane Williamson’s partnership they eventually found their footing and posted an impressive total of 251/7 which gave them a good shot at defending their crown.

India had a slow start to their tournament but went on to win all remaining group stage matches and made an impressive comeback in the semi-finals by defeating Australia and Pakistan before finishing first in their group and qualifying for a matchup against New Zealand in the final.

New Zealand have won the ICC Champions Trophy once before – in 2000. They last competed in 2009’s final, where they lost to South Africa. New Zealand are an imposing team who will look to retain their title at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

India have won the ICC Champions Trophy twice before, in 2002 and 2013. They are also current one-day and T20 World champions; winning both tournaments this decade (one in 2023 and the latter two this decade). Since winning their debut tournament at T20 2021 World Cup in 2022, Kohli stepped down as captain, being replaced by Rohit across all formats; Shastri took over coaching duties at that point.

ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Final

India and New Zealand have advanced to the final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 after an exciting contest, both teams having been impressive throughout the tournament, winning four out of six group games and topping their respective groups. They will face off again in Dubai for a memorable final on March 9 – it will mark India’s return to Champions Trophy final action since winning it back in 2000!

The match will be broadcast live on JioHotstar in India and feature many star players, from both sides having strong batting lineups but ultimately coming down to who can remain composed under pressure situations. India was able to overcome an initial deficit of 77 runs thanks to Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul’s brilliant fourth wicket partnership which put on an exceptional show by amassing 221 runs for India to secure victory by only 18 runs compared with their opponent, Bangladesh.

New Zealand will aim to build upon their strong performance and maintain momentum going into the final. They boast an impressive three-win record so far in this tournament; however, India have an edge due to playing at home and possess an excellent record against New Zealand in One Day International cricket.

India will need to use their superior home ground advantage and bowling units to their full advantage in the final. They must make quick work of New Zealand batsmen while limiting scoring opportunities – though if New Zealand capitalizes on any opportunities presented they could create a thrilling contest!

India last appeared in a Champions Trophy final with disappointing defeat against Pakistan, in 2013. India will hope to change that trend and claim their sixth crown of this competition against a formidable New Zealand side that may prove difficult to contain their batsmen and scoring runs at will.

ICC World Cup 2021 Semi-Final

New Zealand fell short in their bid for an inaugural International Cricket Council limited-overs title after losing to Australia in the 2021 Champions Trophy final in Dubai. Marsh and Warner scored brilliantly to help Australia amass an unprecedented total of 168 runs against New Zealand – which exceeded England by one run from 2016. This marked only the fourth time these two sides met in an ICC tournament final; Australia always prevailed.

New Zealand are taking nothing for granted after their defeat to Bangladesh; their players possess some outstanding abilities that will bring confidence back into their next match against Pakistan, which must win to advance into the final four.

This match promises to be exciting, with both teams showing great form and eager to make their mark in this contest. The victor will face either India or Pakistan in the final, with Pakistan seen as favorites to triumph.

India defeated New Zealand by 44 runs in the league stage of this tournament. Varun Chakravarthy led with bat, but it was India’s bowlers — Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel especially — that stole the show. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja also performed admirably with both bat and ball.

New Zealand struggled with their batting, as both openers failed to make significant runs. Their middle order then unraveled as Chakravarthy and Axar used spin to attack them – Mitchell and Williamson attempted a comeback but were kept under check by Chakravarthy and Axar respectively; though New Zealand managed to score some quick runs later in their innings but this wasn’t enough for them to reach the target.

ICC World Cup 2021 Final

On Sunday, the final match of ICC World Cup 2021 will be played out and it will determine who wins its coveted trophy. Both teams are amongst favourites for victory and they will engage in a fierce rivalry to determine who emerges victorious in limited overs cricket – it should make for an exciting final contest!

India and New Zealand have competed against one another in 65 matches across all formats, with India winning 22 while New Zealand took 16 victories. Their World Cup meetings have been more balanced; both sides winning six matches each. Furthermore, this will be their first opportunity ever to meet in a world cup final, giving both sides a chance to make history together.

New Zealand and Kane Williamson led New Zealand’s impressive display against England, scoring an unbeaten 48-ball 85 to advance them into the first semi-final. Unfortunately, New Zealand could not compete against Australia’s explosive batting lineup who scored 185 runs in 16.4 overs – including four sixes from Matthew Wade to secure victory! It was an exciting affair and Matthew Wade proved pivotal as Australia defeated them four wickets with an over to spare!

Michael Bracewell of New Zealand was pleased with the performance of his side, noting that their openers set an excellent tempo early. Although under pressure in the middle phase, they managed to come back into contention thanks to some quick hitting from Daryl Mitchell and Michael Bracewell in the second innings.

Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul and Axar Patel all played key roles in India’s innings against New Zealand. Indian batsmen consistently smashed boundaries while bowlers restricted New Zealand’s run rate with precision. Ravindra Jadeja displayed impressive athleticism and sharpness while Glenn Phillips excelled with spectacular catches that defied gravity.
