Pakistan vs Zimbabwe 1st ODI
Pakistan and Zimbabwe will face off in a three-match ODI series from 24 November to 5 December at Queens Sports Club, Bulawayo. Both teams have shown dominance against one another recently; however, the Chevrons hope to put that behind them when they meet up again at this Queens Sports Club meeting.
Pakistan’s batsmen will hope to continue their strong showing from their Test series win against Australia which resulted in crushing victory for them; their bowlers too have shown great promise, with Haris Rauf picking up numerous wickets over his series of innings at Australia; Haris Rauf has also shown great promise as one of his many wickets has fallen at Pakistan recently despite taking two defeats against them during that series win by Australia which ended up with them winning all five matches outright before then taking their current three match up!
Blessing Muzarabani and Richard Ngarava set the scene early for Zimbabwe with disciplined bowling that kept Pakistani batters guessing, but their early success proved short-lived as both were dismissed before the first Powerplay concluded. Zimbabwe then struggled against Pakistan’s spinners despite cameo appearances by Sean Williams and Brian Bennett which could not prevent their side tumbling to 125 for 7.
Pakistan began well in their reply, by getting Kamran Ghulam and Abdullah Shafique past the ropes with an opening pair partnership of 64 runs before pushing off. Unfortunately, once Shafique fell lbw off a miserly short ball Zimbabwe’s innings imploded completely; their lower order could offer no resistance and Zimbabwe were all out for just 204.
Zimbabwe’s innings, however, was saved from becoming more dismal thanks to Ngarava and Raza. Raza stood out especially, showing solid defence combined with confident pull shots and relaxing slog sweeps when in the mood. Together they shared an encouraging 62-run stand until Tayyab Tahir got him out after miscuing a pull shot at backward point.
Pakistan eventually ended the day in control but Zimbabwean bowlers found this performance disappointing; hoping they can improve when facing Pakistan again for round 2 at National Stadium.
Pakistan vs Zimbabwe 2nd ODI
Pakistan produced an outstanding performance to secure a 10-wicket victory against Zimbabwe and level the series at one apiece in their second one-day international (ODI), held at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo.
Saim Ayub led with the bat, hitting an unbeaten century as Pakistan reached their target of 146 runs within 18.2 overs. Debutant Abrar Ahmed played an invaluable role, taking four wickets on what proved a difficult pitch surface.
Pakistan bowlers were in excellent form to dismiss Zimbabwe for 145, with Abrar Ahmed and Agha Salman sharing seven wickets between them to dominate Zimbabwean batsmen from start to finish as they quickly advanced towards their target.
Zimbabwe struggled despite losing both openers early as Pakistan’s opening pair dominated. Ayub hit an astounding 10 boundaries and two sixes in just 24 deliveries at the crease while Shafique was unbeaten on 33 off 30 balls.
Zimbabwe were dealt another setback when Sikandar Raza was dismissed for three runs by Abrar Ahmed’s length ball which turned away and caught his edge, forcing him into trying to swing it around but ultimately being held at backward point.
Pakistan made their breakthrough when Faisal Akram struck again with an innocuous short delivery from Faisal Ahmad that struck Myers on top of middle stump and caused him to attempt nudge it back down but fail, ultimately bowling him for 33 off 30 balls and ending Zimbabwe’s innings on 91/4 in 20 overs.
Pakistan vs Zimbabwe 3rd ODI
After Zimbabwe had stunned Pakistan in the opening ODI, Pakistan took control of the second game to seal it and take control of the series.
Saim Ayub and Kamran Ghulam stood out for Pakistan, with Kamran hitting his maiden ODI century en route. Both teams will now turn their focus toward Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo for T20Is which begin later today.
Pakistan elected to bat first after winning the toss and elected Kamran Ghulam as their anchor batsman – scoring an outstanding hundred alongside Shafique Amir, Salman Agha and Tayyub Tahir who all supported him well – however their efforts came to nothing as they conceded 102 runs over their final 10 overs.
Zimbabwe struggled early as they lost two wickets during the Powerplay. Sikandar Raza was caught by Irfan Khan at deep square leg off Abrar Ahmed; then Tadiwanashe Marumani was run out by Faisal Akram, and finally Faisal removed three batsmen to end Zimbabwe’s innings quickly.
Zimbabwe were never in contention, but fought hard and were unlucky not to push for victory. Sean Williams and Ervine tried their hardest after losing both openers; however, Abrar Ahmed and Haris Rauf quickly ended it and Zimbabwe fell regularly at regular intervals until Clive Madande and Richard Ngarava were finally dismissed permanently from play.

Pakistan vs Zimbabwe 4th ODI
Pakistan national cricket team represents Pakistan internationally in international cricket matches. Nicknamed the Men in Green, this strong side has won multiple tournaments over time including World Cups and Champions Trophies from ICC Cricket World Cup to Twenty20 tournaments, winning their inaugural tournament back in 1992 and finishing as runners-up later that same year.
Pakistan played an impressive ODI victory against Zimbabwe to extend their series lead and extend the margin to four matches. Winning the toss, Pakistan batted first and put up 399 runs thanks to Fakhar Zaman who hit his maiden double century. Zimbabwe were bowled out for just 155, handing Pakistan an emphatic victory.
After an impressive start by Brian Bennett and Tadiwanashe Marumani, Pakistan’s bowlers came back strong against Australia. Sufiyan Muqeem led their attack with 5 wickets in only four overs; Umar Gul had previously accomplished this feat against both New Zealand and South Africa back in 2005.
Muqeem wasn’t the only bowler to shine, with Irfan Khan and Haris Rauf also impressing with their contributions – they collected six wickets between them to put pressure back onto Zimbabwean batsmen; unfortunately their struggles continued, largely due to poor shot selection and mix-ups leading to their downfall.
Although the game was very close, the last over was truly captivating. Jahandad Khan delivered an outstanding delivery to dismiss Sikandar Raza with one ball that was short, middle, angling in and turning away; Raza used his feet to try and swat away but mistimed his swing toward long on where Omair Yousuf took an easy catch.
