Nehal Wadhera

Nehal Wadhera is an emerging batsman for Punjab Kings, having scored an eye-catching 123 runs on his debut as part of their 380 run win against Madhya Pradesh in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy match. Additionally, Nehal is regularly included as part of India Under-19 cricket team in various tournaments.

Both teams have met 37 times during the Indian Premier League, with Royal Challengers Bangalore winning 19 and Punjab Kings 18 matches respectively. Most recently they faced off again in 2025 when RCB defeated them by six wickets to claim IPL glory.

Virat Kohli of Royal Challengers Bengaluru scored the highest individual score against Punjab at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru during IPL 2020 with his 132-run innings consisting of 14 fours and seven sixes from 122 balls played against them at M Chinnaswamy.

KL Rahul of Royal Challengers had the next best performance for Royal Challengers against Punjab with his 86 runs scored from 95 balls played – both efforts are in this fixture’s history books!

Piyush Chawla of Punjab had the best performance against RCB when it comes to bowling against them during an IPL match in Dharamsala in 2024, taking 4/17. Umesh Yadav of RCB took three wickets against Punjab at M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru two years earlier at M Chinnaswamy stadium in 2022 – impressive figures indeed!

Shreyas Iyer of PBKS remains optimistic after their one-sided Qualifier 1 loss against RCB: “We may have lost this battle, but not the war!” and also noted, “we still have another opportunity to win a big game; therefore it is vitally important that they keep performing and remain positive.

Jos Inglis

Josh Inglis will be an integral player in Punjab Kings’ quest for their first IPL final. The youngster has been impressive this season, scoring an unbeaten century against Sri Lanka on debut and being an ever-present in T20 matches for Australia with two centuries under his belt already. Josh has made quite an impressionful international debut; many even see him as being “Australia’s next big thing.”

Punjab Kings have an excellent chance of reaching their first ever IPL final despite falling to Mumbai Indians in Qualifier 2. They will face the winner of tomorrow’s first eliminator and boast an outstanding track record against them. Shreyas Iyer will need to improve on shot selection as they were bowled out for 101 by Royal Challengers Bangalore; both their openers struggled and Hazlewood took care of both.

On Tuesday, the IPL 2025 final between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Pune Super Kings (PBKS) will take place at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium and be streamed live on JioHotstar’s website and app in India and broadcast on Star Sports Network television channels – this game marks their inaugural meeting since thrice qualifying for finals but never winning it all before!

Both Royal Challengers of Bengaluru (RCB) and PBKS have improved significantly this season, and their record against each other is impressive. Both sides have won eight consecutive matches at once against one another with six wickets margin in Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium being their latest triumph. When it comes to head-to-head matches against RCB this season, PBKS hold the edge, winning five out of six matches against them this time around.

Arshdeep Singh

Both teams have met 37 times since the inception of Indian Premier League, with RCB winning 19 and PBKS 18 respectively. A win by either side in this upcoming match would give them an edge in their head-to-head record.

The Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will host this year’s final, with live coverage provided by Star Sports. Both teams have excelled throughout this tournament season and made it into the final with major victories that have propelled them towards victory – one team being keen on becoming champion for their inaugural title run, the other eagerly waiting in anticipation.

PBKS have been given an extra boost thanks to the return from injury of key players like Yuzvendra Chahal and Kyle Jamieson, which will play an instrumental role in restricting RCB, who have shown great promise both offensively and defensively this season.

Chahal will likely bowl his full four overs in this match and is known for his efficiency during death overs. Furthermore, in 2022 T20 World Cup he showed his worth by picking up seven wickets across five games to help India advance to the semi-finals.

Even so, Chahal may not be guaranteed his spot when he returns to action – Mohammad Siraj could replace him instead – yet this duo remains one of Punjab’s strongest options and it’s likely they’ll use this pair for several games before adding Chahal when needed as they seek more depth to their bowling attack after losing Marco Jansen to Delhi Capitals; they have plenty of young talent such as Mohammad Amir who have proven to be impressive performers this season.

Kyle Jamieson

Royal Challengers Bengaluru advanced to their fourth Indian Premier League final by routing Punjab Kings in Qualifier 1 at New Chandigarh. Following an inept batting display by Punjab, RCB chased down their low target with 10 overs remaining; spinner Suyash Sharma and seamer Josh Hazlewood each picked up three wickets while opener Phil Salt hit an unbeaten 56 off 27 balls for an unbeaten performance from opener Phil Salt.

Punjab displayed great determination during their match against Delhi and it will be fascinating to watch their response in Friday’s Eliminator match. Their top-order will need to step up and provide some resistance or their team may head back home empty-handed.

Punjab have fared poorly against RCB since the start of IPL play, winning only five out of 37 matches since their opening encounters. Meanwhile, RCB have proven more victorious with 19 victories from 37 encounters since inception of IPL competition.

Chris Gayle scored an innings that stands as the highest against PBKS this IPL in terms of balls batted, setting off an RCB win by 138 runs at M Chinnaswamy Stadium on April 16, 2015. This mark represented his highest individual score against KXIP this tournament.

Royal Challengers will likely select their regular XI for this game; however, an injury to Tim David may force them to replace Liam Livingstone with someone else in their bowling attack. Krunal Pandya should keep his place, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Yash Dayal may both feature.

Piyush Chawla was the standout bowler from Punjab during IPL 2011 with 4/17 at Dharamsala while Piyush Chawla has become a key member for their defending champions by taking nine wickets against RCB including four for eight in their most recent meeting between these teams he took 4/17 from them to help Punjab win back their crown!

Yash Dayal

Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings will face off in an IPL megamatch where one team will claim its maiden trophy. Both sides have been regular presences throughout the tournament – even playing four finals together without either side being successful in winning their own championship crowns. Given this fixture’s immense history, social media users often refer to this clash as IPL’s Holy Trinity!

The match will take place at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, Chandigarh. Shreyas Iyer’s side are in pole position to win their maiden championship after taking out Qualifier 1, while Rajat Patidar and co will look for redemption after defeat against Mumbai Indians in Qualifier 2.

Yash Dayal, a left-arm pacer for PBKS this season and is expected to play an instrumental role in this match against RCB. His performance against them in previous encounters could prove costly for their opponents.

This game should feature plenty of fast bowling from both teams and should provide plenty of entertainment. It will be particularly intriguing to witness how PBKS’ inexperienced batting line-up reacts against an intense RCB attack; should they lose their nerve, high scoring may ensue.
