Deepti had hit an emphatic six off the first ball of the final over, seemingly setting Warriorz on course for an unlikely Super Over victory. Unfortunately, Garth’s half-attempt at running two runs to long-on resulted in an embarrassing run out by Richa Ghosh taking off bails one-handed. The thrilling Royal Challengers Cricket Vs Up Warriorz Match Scorecard reflected how closely contested the game was until the very last moment.

UP Warriorz vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru
After being shocked out of the WPL 2025 playoffs by Bengaluru in an epic comeback match, UP are back and looking strong to return. Thanks to opener Georgia Voll’s blistering batting performance (who scored an unbeaten 99), they have set Bengaluru an ambitious target of 226; possibly sparking their comeback in their last match of the season.
Bengaluru needs to win this match to keep their net run rate above the required mark and maintain any hope of reaching the top four of this competition. In addition, winning will guarantee them home semifinals – something they have not done since season two of T20 IPL.
RCB vs UP Warriorz
With only three wins so far in this tournament, RCB need all of the help they can get if they hope to make it into the play-offs. A victory against bottom team UP Warriorz would give them a fighting chance against elimination; they gave RCB quite the scare on previous meetings between these teams and will look to take revenge!
Georgia Voll of UP’s Georgia Voll took to Bengaluru bowling with great force and set an imposing target, easily taking her first WPL century with unbeaten half-centuries from both Grace Harris and herself – however Voll’s brute power and strong hands helped push RCB beyond reach as she brought them down at an unbelievable rate in the backend.
UP’s middle order struggled to keep up with the score and lost wickets at regular intervals, with Kim Garth, Sneh Rana and Renuka Singh each taking two wickets for their side. When faced with 18 to defend in the last over of normal play, it seemed RCB were headed for yet another heartbreaking defeat – until Sophie Ecclestone provided an extraordinary Super Over performance, conceding only four runs! Truly an unforgettable Super Over!
UP’s start at chasing down the home side’s challenging total started off well, scoring 57 runs in the Powerplay. Unfortunately, they lost one wicket in their next over and struggled to build momentum – Deepti Sharma, Tahlia McGrath and Shweta Sehrawat all failed to have any noticeable impact; Chinelle Henry and Kiran Navgire showed some fight, but couldn’t keep pace with its rate; when Henry fell it looked as though their chances had vanished – but then Sophie Ecclestone emerged to unleash one incredible six hit and spark an unforgettable late surge that ultimately culmines with them winning victory via Super Over! What an unforgettable match that everyone involved will remember forever!
UP Warriorz vs RCB
An inspired RCB side attempted to return to contention in qualifying, but were powerless against UP Warriorz who scored the highest total ever seen in WPL history, led by Georgia Voll’s incredible unbeaten 99 score.
On her debut, Harris demonstrated her promise as retention material for UP Warriorz. Her strong back-foot game, developed during her upbringing on Queensland decks, allowed her to stay close to the line while picking off boundaries in both middle and backward point regions. Meanwhile, Harris scooped and paddled her way to several fours during a single innings.
Navgire, Sophie Ecclestone and Chinelle Henry each collected wickets, while S Meghana made her UP Warriorz debut after cutting short renovation work in Queensland to rush back to India – hitting two fours off Harris in the sixth over. Voll came agonizingly close to scoring her maiden century before an attempt at running through long-on off the final ball resulted in being run out.
Ellyse Perry held her nerve well, playing an anchoring role well for Royal Challengers Bengal (RCB), but the lack of support at either end hampered their chances. Smriti Mandhana and Richa Ghosh threatened to lead them out of the hole but an inaccurate flat hit off Poonam Khemnar straight to Pooja Rana at deep midwicket ended any hopes of a dramatic comeback.
